Students

Our students - receive the best possible education available, in a challenging and supportive environment, preparing them for the journey ahead.

Student working collaboratively on the Timeline of Life.

Our school community is made up of 40 students in grades one through six. While each grade level has 8-10 students, the classrooms have from 18-24 students allowing opportunities for friendships to develop across age levels and gender.

90% of Voyager families live on Bainbridge Island; 10 % of our families commute from Poulsbo and other Kitsap county communities.

Our graduates - have the courage to follow their dreams, the confidence and wisdom to do what they must and the conviction to serve others.

Our graduates are diverse in their interests and talents. We are proud to know we have graduates who are artists, musicians, poets, writers, athletes engineers and spelling bee champions.

We find many of our alumni students are in leadership roles and are deeply committed to community service. From homecoming kings, national merit scholars, class presidents, camp counselors, and foreign delegates to involvement in the BI Peace Coalition and Amnesty International, they are accomplished. Our oldest alumni aren’t even 20 years old!

One question we always ask during alumni interviews is, “What was the most important thing you learned at Voyager?”

Some of the responses:

  • Responsibility, learning to handle responsibility
  • Time management
  • Setting goals and working to achieve those goals on my own
  • Learning to be part of a team
  • Learning how to resolve conflict
  • Focus and motivation

We believe we lay the foundation for future academic achievement, personal fulfillment and contribution to the world for our students. We are educating tomorrow’s leaders.
